Engine to Transaxle Brace Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in Service Precautions.
2. Remove the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System.
3. Remove the manifold-to-crossover pipe.
4. Remove the steering rack retaining bolts.
5. Support the transmission.
6. Remove the right mount-to-bracket through bolt and nut.
7. Remove the rear mount-to-cradle through bolt and nut.
8. Remove the right mount.
9. Remove the transmission brace from the transmission case.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the transmission mount brace to the transmission case.
^ Tighten the bolt and the stud to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the right mount.
3. Install the rear mount-to-cradle through bolt and nut.
4. Install the right mount-to-bracket through bolt and nut.
5. Remove the transmission support.
6. Reposition the steering rack. Tighten the steering rack.
7. Install the man if old-to-crossover pipe.
8. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System.
9. Lower the vehicle.
