Fluid Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

^ Tools Required
- J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture





1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Install the J 28467-360.
3. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in Service Precautions.
4. Remove the case side cover. Refer to Case Side Cover Replacement
5. Remove the wiring harness as necessary.





6. Remove the oil pump to valve body bolts.
7. Inspect the oil pump. Refer to Transmission Unit Repair.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the oil pump to the valve body.





2. Install the oil pump to valve body bolts.

NOTICE: Use a torque wrench to tighten the pump to valve body bolts. Do not exceed the torque specifications.





3. Install the wiring harness, if removed.
4. Install the case side cover. Refer to Case Side Cover Replacement.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Remove the J 28467-360.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
