On-Vehicle Service

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Pump drive belt.
2. Power steering gear outlet and inlet hoses from pump.
3. Mounting bolt.
4. Pump and bracket from engine. Transfer pulley and bracket, as needed.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Pump with pulley and bracket to top of engine.
2. Mounting bolt.
3. Power steering gear inlet and outlet hoses to pump.
Tighten:
^ Power steering gear inlet hose to pump, to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
^ Pump mounting bolt to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Pump drive belt.
5. Fill and bleed system.
^ Inspect for leaks.
