Throttle Body Spacer Installation

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Throttle Body And Coolant Pipes:

1. Install the throttle body spacer gasket and throttle body spacer.

Tighten the throttle body spacer attaching bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

2. Install the new throttle body gasket.

3. Install the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement.

4. Tighten the throttle body attaching bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

Description:

5. Install the crankcase ventilation pipe at throttle body spacer.

Description:

6. Install the EGR valve water pump crossover pipe to throttle body spacer.

Tighten the EGR pipe bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb. ft).

MAF Sensor:

7. Install the MAF sensor and intake air duct assembly

Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb. in).

8. Install the intake air duct clamp.

Tighten the clamp (5) to 3.5 N.m (31 lb. in) at the MAF sensor and 1.8 N.m (16 lb. in) at the air cleaner.

Description:

9. Install the MAF sensor electrical connector (2) to the MAF sensor (5).

Description:

10. Install the accelerator controls cable bracket. Refer to the Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement.

Description:

11. Install the intake manifold top cover.

Tighten the nuts to 3 N.m (27 lb. in).

12. Install the negative battery cable.

13. Install the rear seat cushion.
