Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

Description:

Vehicles equipped with multi-disc CD changer do not require removal of rear compartment trim to service the RH taillamp. A taillamp access cover has been added to the rear compartment side trim. All other taillamps require removal of rear compartment side trim.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Rear compartment sill plate/rear trim.
2. Nuts.
3. Screws retaming taillamp bezel at inner edge of taillamp.
4. Connector.
5. Taillamp from vehicle.
6. Grommet from rear end panel.
7. Socket from lamp by releasing tang and turning counterclockwise.
8. Bulb from socket.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Bulb to socket.
2. Socket to lamp by turning clockwise.
3. Grommet.
4. Lamp to vehicle.

NOTE: There should be a 4mm (5/32 in) gap between the taillamp and the rear applique panel.

5. Connector.
6. Nuts and screw at inner edge of taillamp.
7. Rear compartment trim.
