Troubleshooting Hints - Gauges and Warning Indicators
PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS1. Check the IP fuse block fuses by visual inspection.
2. Check the IP 1 Fuse in the RH rear junction block by visual inspection. If the IP 1 Fuse is open, a battery feed sneak path exists from the HZRD/STOP Fuse to the instrument cluster Therefore, the cluster may not be completely shut down.
3. If more than one indicator or gauge is out, check common power and ground inputs.
4. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove good in a continuity/voltage check. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures. Diagnostic Aids
5. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may effect the integrity of other systems.
