Trip Computer Information

The DIC receives trip computer information, such as instantaneous fuel usage, over the UART B serial data line from the instrument cluster. A discrete input sends fuel level information to the instrument cluster for range calculations. This raw data is processed by the instrument cluster using its internal time keeping functions to determine, for example, average fuel economy.
