Oil Level Warning

The oil level sensing system consists of an oil level switch and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The oil level switch provides the oil level signal to the PCM on CKT 1174 (BRN). If the PCM determines that a low oil condition exists, it sends the low oil level signal to the instrument cluster on the UART serial data line CKT 800 (TAN). The instrument cluster forwards the low oil information to the DIC on the UART B serial data line CKT 1061 (ORN/BLK). When the DIC receives this information the CHECK OIL LEVEL message is displayed on the DIC.
