Driver Information Center (DIC)

The Driver Information Center (DIC) consist of a 20 character vacuum fluorescent display that conveys information concerning various vehicle systems to the driver. The DIC is part of the heater and A/C control, the DIC communicates with the instrument cluster via the UART B serial data line. The DIC messages are accompanied by a chime within the instrument cluster. The DIC displays the following:
