Coolant Temperature Information

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) provides coolant temperature information to the instrument cluster via the UART serial data line. The instrument cluster transmits the information to the DIC via the UART B serial data line. The coolant temperature is displayed by the DIC. If the coolant temperature rises above 127°C (261°F), the HOT. . . STOP ENGINE message is displayed.
