Coolant Level Information

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) receives coolant level information from the engine coolant level switch. If the switch returns a signal indicating a low coolant condition, the PCM transmits a low engine coolant signal to the instrument cluster via UART serial data line. The instrument cluster then transmits the information to the DIC via the UART B serial data line and the DIC displays the LOW ENGINE COOLANT message.
