Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Perform the Body Control Module System Check, Body Control Module.
2. Check for an open PWR DR LK Fuse or INTR Fuse in the RH rear junction block.
3. Check for an open CHIME (Oldsmobile) or IGN 1 (Buick) Fuse in the IP fuse block.
4. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and harness connectors.
5. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove good in a continuity/voltage check. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.
6. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may effect the integrity of other systems. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures. Diagnostic Aids
