Fasten Belts Chime

The fasten seat belts chime sounds when the ignition switch is in RUN or START and the LH front seat belt is unbuckled. When the ignition switch is in RUN or START ignition positive voltage is applied on CKT 39 (PNK) to the Body Control Module (MALL). When the LH front seat belt is unbuckled (seat belt switch is closed) a ground condition exists on CKT 238 (BLK/WHT). When the Body Control Module (MALL) detects a ground condition on CKT 238 (BLK/WHT) and there is ignition positive voltage on CKT 39 (PNK), the MALL commands the slow-pulsed fasten safety belt chime to sound for 4 to 8 seconds and applies voltage on CKT 234 (YEL) for 70 seconds, illuminating the FASTEN BELTS indicator.
