Front Pipe Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Support the catalytic converter with a suitable jack.





3. Remove the exhaust manifold to exhaust downpipe bolts.
4. Remove the four nuts to the catalytic converter.
5. Remove the exhaust front pipe.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the exhaust front pipe.
2. Install the four nuts to the catalytic converter.
^ Tighten the nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the bolts for the exhaust downpipe to the exhaust manifold.
^ Tighten the bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

4. Lower the vehicle.
