Oil Pump Clean and Inspect

IMPORTANT: The internal parts of the oil pump are not serviced separately. If wear or damage is noted, replace the entire pump assembly.

Inspect the oil pump components for the following conditions:
^ The housing (1) and the cover (6) for cracks, scoring, casting imperfections, and damaged threads
^ The gerotor gears (5) for chipping, galling or wear
^ Pressure relief valve (2) for embedded particles and/or damage
