Park Brake Cable Replacement (Rear Cable)
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Raise the vehicle and suitably support.
2. Back off adjuster nut to release cable tension.
3. Disconnect right and left rear parking brake cables from the rear equalizer.
4. Remove conduit fitting from bracket by depressing conduit fitting retaining tangs.
5. Remove the tire and wheel.
6. Remove right and left cable retainer bolts.
7. Disconnect right and left parking brake cable from the parking brake levers. Refer to Rear Disc Brake Caliper.
8. Remove right and left cable from caliper support brackets by depressing conduit fitting retaining tangs.
9. Remove the parking brake rear cables.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position right and left rear parking brake cable to the vehicle.
2. Install conduit fitting to bracket by snapping into place.
3. Connect cables to the equalizer.
4. Install right and left cable retainer bolts.
5. Install right and left cables to the caliper support brackets by snapping into place.
6. Connect the parking brake cables to the parking brake levers. Refer to Rear Disc Brake Caliper.
7. Install the tire and wheel.
8. Adjust parking brake cable. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment.
