Park Brake Cable Replacement (Intermediate Cable)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise the vehicle and suitably support.
2. Disconnect the intermediate parking brake cable from the adjuster.
3. Intermediate cable housing from the front cable retaining bracket.





4. Disconnect the cable from the rear equalizer.
5. Disconnect the intermediate cable housing from the rear cable housing retaining bracket.
6. Remove the intermediate cable.






INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Route and install the intermediate parking cable into brake cable retaining brackets.
2. Connect the left and right rear parking brake cables to the intermediate cable, using equalizer.





3. Connect front of the intermediate cable to the parking brake adjuster.
4. Adjust the parking brake cable. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment.
