Park Brake Cable Replacement (Front Cable)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Pull edge of drivers side carpet back enough to access grommet.
2. Remove the grommet from the floor pan.
3. Raise the vehicle and support.





4. Disconnect the front cable housing from the intermediate cable at the adjuster.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the cable from the lever assembly.
7. Remove the parking brake front cable assembly.






INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the front parking brake cable assembly in the vehicle.
2. Connect the cable to the lever assembly.
3. Raise the vehicle and suitably support.





4. Connect the front cable housing to the intermediate cable at the adjuster.
5. Lower the vehicle.





6. Seat the grommet in the floor pan.
7. Install carpet into place.
8. Adjust the parking brake cable. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment.
