Brake Pedal Assy: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the I/P assembly.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the switches.
3. Remove the pushrod from the pushrod pin.





4. Remove the six brake pedal nuts.





5. Remove the brake pedal assembly.



INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the brake pedal assembly onto the booster studs.





2. Install the six brake pedal nuts.





3. Apply the lubricant to the pushrod pin.
4. Install the pushrod onto the pushrod pin. Secure with a spacer and a retainer.
^ Tighten the pedal assembly to the lower Cowl Stud Nuts to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the Pedal Assembly to the Booster Stud Nuts to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Connect the electrical connectors to the switches.
6. Install the I/P assembly.
