Bpmv Reservoir Replacement


Master Cylinder Reservoir Hose:






REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove the BPMV reservoir connector.
3. Remove the clamp on the reservoir hose to the BPMV connector.
4. Obtain a 15.5 mm (5/8 inch) plug to be used in the next step.
5. Remove the reservoir hose from the BPMV reservoir.
6. Remove the BPMV reservoir by carefully prying.
7. Remove the BPMV reservoir seals. Note the seal orientation.


Master Cylinder Reservoir Hose:





INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the new seals with the clean brake fluid. Install the new seals to the BPMV.
2. Clean the reservoir and the ports with denatured alcohol.
3. Install the BPMV reservoir.
4. Install the reservoir hose to the BPMV reservoir.
5. Connect the clamp on the reservoir hose to the BPMV reservoir.
6. Install the BPMV reservoir connector.
7. Fill the brake fluid reservoir. Refer to Fluid and Fluid Handling.
8. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Bleeding Brake Hydraulic System in Brakes.
9. Clean the brake fluid from the BPMV area in order to prevent damage to the vehicle components.
