Troubleshooting Hints - General Information
1. Check the RADIO fuse in the IP Fuse Block, I/P 2 Fuse in the RH Rear Junction Block and (U/F only) Bose� Fuse in the RH Rear Junction Block.2. Check that antenna connector and antenna coaxial cable are properly connected.
3. Before troubleshooting a suspect speaker, check all connections to that speaker for proper terminal contact.
4. For proper noise diagnosis, take vehicle outside where signals are strong. Close hood, and keep away from metal buildings or other sources of radio interference.
5. Ignition noise on FM may indicate a defective ignition system.
6. Coated screws or bolts can cause a poor ground condition. Scrape ground screw clean of any paint or varnish.
7. If radio does not operate for 10 minutes after ignition switch is turned to OFF (if equipped with Retained Accessory Power), refer to Retained Accessory Power in Accessories and Optional Equipment. Accessory Delay Module
8. If radio operates properly except from steering wheel controls (if equipped), refer to Steering Wheel Controls in Steering Column. Service and Repair
