Seek Buttons

The SEEK push-button is a rocker type which provides seek up or down in the direction pressed. If the top portion of the rocker is depressed the frequencies will increase. Likewise, depressing the bottom portion of the rocker will cause seeking in the decreasing frequency direction. Depressing the button will cause the audio to mute and the frequency to increase or decrease until a signal of sufficient strength enables stopping or at the end of two complete loops.

If the selected frequency is a preset on the current band, the associated ATC mode will also be selected.

If the SEEK button is depressed a second time while seeking is underway, the seeking action will cease and the receiver will revert to its previous state just prior to the original seek command.

If the seek button is held in the depressed position, the seek action will begin, then stop and stay on the next signal of sufficient strength.

If any of the 5 preset buttons is pressed while seeking, the seeking action will cease and the receiver will be tuned to the frequency of that preset.
^ If the TUNE control is adjusted while seeking, the seeking action will cease and the frequency will change from the preset scanned frequency.

The seek up portion of this function is replicated on the Steering Wheel Control.
