Fast Forward Button (FWD)

The FWD (fast forward) button is a non-latching momentary contact control that serves a dual function with radio preset 2. Depressing the FWD button causes the same operation as described in Rewind or Reverse Button (REV) in this section, except the direction of tape travel is in the forward direction. The corresponding program arrow is lit while the fast forward mode is selected.
