Troubleshooting Hints - Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check rear fuse block TMNSS fuse by visual inspection. when fuse is open, proceed to System Diagnosis. Component Tests and General Diagnostics
2. Visually inspect cruise shift interlock/brake switch connector and associated wiring.
3. Before component replacement, check for poor terminal contact at component and related harness connectors.
4. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
5. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of insulation which could cause system malfunction but prove good in a continuity/voltage check with a system disconnected. (See General Troubleshooting Procedures.) Diagnostic Aids
