Supercharger Oil Service

Supercharger Maintenance:

Check oil level every 30,000 miles (50,000 km) or every 36 months.

CAUTION: Do not remove oil plug when the engine is warm. Removing the oil plug at warm engine temperatures can cause hot oil to overflow. This could result in oil loss and possible personal injury.

Remove or Disconnect

1. Wiring harness shield.
2. Oil plug.

NOTICE: The oil level should be maintained to the bottom of the plug threads. Do not use petroleum based oil. When adding oil use only GM synthetic oil or equivalent. Failure to do so may cause supercharger failure.

Install or Connect

1. Oil plug. Ensure O-ring is in place on oil plug.
2. Torque plug to 10 N-m (88 lb.in.).
3. Wiring harness shield.
