Fig. 33 Instrument Panel Replacement:
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove console assembly, instrument panel upper trim panel, cluster and instrument panel upper trim pad.
3. Remove windshield garnish moldings, sound insulators and knee bolster, then remove glove compartment door hinge screws.
4. Remove glove compartment door and compartment, then disconnect lamp electrical connector.
5. Cover steering column with protective cloth, then remove radio as described in Accessories and Optional Equipment. Refer to Radio, Stereo and Compact Disc Player. Radio/Stereo
6. Remove HVAC control head mounting screws, then pull control head away from instrument panel and disconnect electrical connectors.
7. Remove two mounting bolts, then pull instrument panel away from cowl and disconnect instrument panel interconnect electrical connectors.
8. Disconnect antenna cable and remove instrument panel from vehicle, Fig. 33.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
