Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. For No Crank or No Start conditions, refer to PASS-Key II diagnosis in this section. The Universal Theft Deterrent system does not affect engine starting.
2. Before beginning any operation check, make sure the following components and circuits work properly:
^ Parking lamps
^ Low beam headlamps
^ Horn
^ Power door locks
3. Make sure the headlamps and parking lamps are off.
4. Open a window in order to unlock the door without using a key.
5. When an intermittent problem exists, check connectors for proper terminal contact.
