Troubleshooting Hints

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Check I/P Fuse Block RADIO Fuse and YEL (43) wiring by turning Radio "ON" and noting if display lamps light.
2. Check Rear Fuse Block I/P 2 Fuse by visual inspection.
3. If Power Antenna goes up or down part way: - Check Power Antenna mast for bent condition or dirt. If mast is dirty and /or bent, straighten or replace mast and clean off dirt. Check operation. If mast is straight and clean, replace Antenna Motor.
4. If antenna retracts as soon as Ignition Switch is turned to "OFF" (Radio "ON," doors not open), and vehicle is equipped with Retained Accessory Power (RAP), refer to Retained Accessory Power for diagnosis. Testing and Inspection
