Spark Plug: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Spark plug wires at spark plugs.

CAUTION: Use care when removing spark plug boots from spark plugs. Twist the boot 1/2 turn before removing and then PULL ON THE BOOT ONLY to remove it. DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRE as this may damage the spark plug wire.

2. Spark plug from cylinder head.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Spark plug into cylinder head. Make sure spark plug is gapped to 1.27 mm (0.050") before installation.

Tighten
Spark plugs to 15 Nm (11 lb. ft.).
