Exterior Lamps

TURN LAMPS
With the ignition switch in "RUN," "BULB TEST" or "START," voltage is applied from I/P Fuse Block Turn Lamps Fuse, through the Turn Flasher to the normally closed switch in the Turn/Hazard switch.

With the Turn Switch in the LEFT turn position, voltage is applied through the Turn Switch and through two paths to the lamps. One path is through the LH Front Park/Turn Lamps and the Side Marker Lamps. The second path is applied through the LH Tail/Stop/Turn Lamps. The lamps go on immediately. They begin to flash when the current heats up the timing element in the flasher, and the flasher repeatedly opens and closes the circuit. A similar procedure is followed when the Turn Switch is in the RIGHT turn position.

HAZARD LAMPS
Voltage is applied at all times from the Rear Fuse Block Hazard/Stop Fuse, through the Hazard Flasher to the normally open switch in the Turn/Hazard Switch. With the Hazard Switch in HAZARD, voltage is applied through the assembly to all four paths used by both front and rear turn lamps. All turn lamps and both indicators flash on and off.

In the HAZARD position the turn circuit is always open, and the Hazard Flasher controls the lamps.

STOP LAMPS
Voltage is applied at all times from Rear Fuse Block Hazard/Stop Fuse to the Stoplamp Switch. When the brake pedal is depressed, voltage is applied through the Stoplamp Switch to the Stoplamps causing the Stoplamps to light.

TAIL/REAR MARKER/LICENSE LAMPS
Voltage is applied at all times from Rear Fuse Block Park Lamp Fuse through the Lamp Control Module to the Head/ Park Lamp Switch. With the switch in PARK or HEAD, voltage is applied to the Tail, Rear Side Marker, and License Lamps.

FRONT PARK AND FRONT SIDE MARKER LAMPS
Voltage is applied from Rear Fuse Block Park Lamp Fuse through the Lamp Control Module to the Head/Park Lamp Switch at all times. With the switch in PARK or HEAD, voltage is applied to the LH and RH Front Side Marker Lamps and to the LH and RH Front Park Lamps.
