COOLANT PUMP

Coolant Pump Mounting (V8):

TOOL REQUIRED:
^ J 38816-A Coolant Pump Remover/Installer

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Air intake duct.
4. Coolant pump drive belt cover.
5. Coolant pump drive belt and set aside.
6. Lower radiator hose.
7. By-pass hose.
8. Thermostat housing from coolant pump housing.
9. Coolant pump by turning locking ring with J 38816-A. Turn clockwise to remove.

CLEAN
^ Clean all sealing surfaces.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Coolant pump with J 38816-A.
2. Thermostat housing to coolant pump housing.
3. By-pass hose.
4. Lower radiator hose.
5. Coolant pump drive belt.
6. Coolant pump drive belt cover.
7. Refill the cooling system.
8. Air intake duct.
9. Negative battery cable.

INSPECT
^ Start and idle engine to check for leaks.
