Troubleshooting Hints

TRY FOLLOWING CHECKS BEFORE DOING SYSTEM CHECK.
1. Check Rear Fuse Block B/U LP, I/P 1 and PWR DR LK Fuses by visual inspection. If the I/P 1 Fuse is blown (Oldsmobile only), there is still a battery feed from the HZRD/STOP Fuse to the RAC Module and the Door Lock Switches. Therefore, the RAC Module and the Door Lock Switches may not be completely shut down.
2. If at least one Door Lock Motor locks and unlocks, but other Door Lock Motor(s) doesn't function normally, check wiring to that Motor. If wiring is OK, replace motor.
3. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, it does not reset until voltage is removed from motor.
