DTC 60

DTC 60 Chart:




Transaxle Range Switch Circuit:






CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The PCM monitors the transaxle pressure switch while cruise control is engaged. Cruise control will be disengaged if the shift selector is moved to the neutral position or if a transaxle pressure switch circuit malfunction exists.

DTC 60 WILL SET WHEN
- Cruise control engaged.
- The PCM detects the transaxle is park or neutral.

ACTION TAKEN (PCM WILL DEFAULT TO)
- The PCM will not allow cruise control operation with a current DTC 60 set.
- The DTC 60 does not illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) (Service Engine Soon).

DTC 60 WILL CLEAR WHEN
The fault no longer exists.

DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
Number(s) below refer to circled number(s) on the diagnostic chart.

1. This test checks for other DTCs stored. That should be repaired first.
2. This test checks the transaxle range switch.
3. This test checks the wiring on the range signals and the range switch.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
- This DTC is stored in history as an explanation for why cruise control is not operational.
- A faulty range switch may set DTC 60.
