With Rockford Fosgate

AUDIO

Sound Is Not Heard from Front Door Speaker or Front Tweeter (With Rockford Fosgate)


1. CONNECTOR CHECK

Check the audio unit and speaker connectors for the following:
- Proper connection
- Damage
- Disconnected or loose terminals
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2
NO- Repair the terminal and connector.

2. HARNESS CHECK

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect audio amplifier connector B43 and suspect speaker connector.





3.Check continuity between audio amplifier harness connector terminal and suspect speaker harness connector terminal.





4.Check continuity between audio amplifier harness connector terminal and ground.





OK or NG
OK- GO TO 3.
NG- Repair harness or connector.

3. FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK

1.Connect audio amplifier connector B43 and suspect speaker connector.
2.Turn ignition switch to ACC.
3.Push "POWER" switch.





4.Check the signal between audio amplifier harness connector terminals with CONSULT or oscilloscope.





OK or NG
OK- Replace suspect speaker. With Navigation.
NG- GO TO 4.

4. HARNESS CHECK

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect AV control unit connector M92 and audio amplifier connector B43.





3.Check continuity between AV control unit harness connector terminals and audio amplifier harness connector terminals.





4.Check continuity between AV control unit harness connector terminals and ground.





OK or NG
OK- GO TO 5.
NG- Repair harness or connector.

5. FRONT SPEAKER SIGNAL CHECK

1.Connect AV control unit connector and audio amplifier connector.
2.Turn ignition switch to ACC.
3.Push "POWER" switch.





4.Check the signal between AV control unit harness connector terminals with CONSULT or oscilloscope.





OK or NG
OK- Replace audio amplifier. With Navigation.
NG- Replace AV control unit. With Navigation.
