TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR SYMPTOMS
CVT Does Not Shift in Manual Mode
SYMPTOM:
Speed does not change even if the selector lever is put in the manual shift gate position and the selector lever is operated to + side or to - side.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Perform self-diagnosis check. CVT Trouble Diagnosis .
Is any malfunction detected by self-diagnosis?
YES- Check the malfunctioning system. CVT Trouble Diagnosis .
NO- GO TO 2.
2. CHECK MANUAL MODE SWITCH
Check the manual mode switch circuit. Refer to {LINK_TO_MANY:0000000007402460}{LINK_TO_MANY:0000000007402461}{LINK_TO_MANY:0000000007402462}{LINK_TO_MANY:0000000007402463}{LINK_TO_MANY:0000000007402464} .
OK or NG
OK- GO TO 3.
NG- Repair or replace damaged parts.
3. CHECK CVT POSITION
Check CVT position. Testing and Inspection
OK or NG
OK- GO TO 4.
NG- Adjust CVT position. Shift Control System.
4. CHECK CVT FLUID LEVEL
Check CVT fluid level. Procedures.
OK or NG
OK- GO TO 5.
NG- Refill CVT fluid.
5. CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check line pressure at idle. CVT Trouble Diagnosis .
OK or NG
OK- GO TO 6.
NG- Check the malfunctioning item. CVT Trouble Diagnosis .
6. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again. CVT Trouble Diagnosis.
OK or NG
OK-INSPECTION END
NG- GO TO 7.
7. CHECK TCM
1.Check TCM input/output signals. CVT Trouble Diagnosis.
2.If NG, re-check TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK - Replace the transaxle assembly. Removal And Installation
(MR-20DE), Removal And Installation (QR-25DE).
NG- Repair or replace damaged parts.
