Oil Pressure Warning Lamp Does Not Turn Off (Oil Pressure Is Normal)

NOTE:
For oil pressure inspection, Procedures (MR-20DE) or Procedures (QR-25DE).

1. CHECK OIL PRESSURE WARNING LAMP OPERATION

Activate IPDM E/R auto active test. Auto Active Test.
Does oil pressure warning lamp blink?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- GO TO 5.

2. CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT SIGNAL

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect oil pressure switch connector (with MR-20DE) or double meter connector (with QR-25DE).
3.Turn ignition switch ON.





4.Check voltage between oil pressure switch harness connector
F32 (A) terminal 1 (with MR-20DE) or double meter connector
M89 (B) terminal 6 (with QR-25DE) and ground.





OK or NG
OK- With MR-20DE, GO TO 3. With QR-25DE, Oil Pressure Sensor Inspection.
NG- GO TO 4.

3. CHECK OIL PRESSURE SWITCH

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Check oil pressure switch. Warning Lamps.
OK or NG
OK- Replace IPDM E/R. Service and Repair.
NG- Replace oil pressure switch.

4. CHECK OIL PRESSURE CIRCUIT

1.Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and oil pressure switch connector (with MR-20DE) or double meter connector (with QR-25DE).





2.Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector E46 (A)
terminal 37 and oil pressure switch harness connector F32 (B)
terminal 1 (with MR-20DE) or double meter connector M89 (C)
terminal 6 (with QR-25DE).





OK or NG
OK- Check oil pressure circuit for short to ground. If OK then replace IPDM E/R. Service and Repair.
NG- Repair harness or connector.

5. CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL

Select "BCM" on CONSULT. Then select "SIGNAL BUFFER". Operate ignition switch with "OIL PRESS SW" of "DATA MONITOR" and check operation status.





OK or NG
OK- Replace BCM. Service and Repair.
NG- Replace IPDM E/R. Service and Repair.
