PARKING LAMP CIRCUIT
Component Function Check
1. CHECK PARKING LAMP OPERATION
IPDM E/R AUTO ACTIVE TEST
1.Start IPDM E/R auto active test. With Intelligent Key System (with Intelligent Key) or Without Intelligent Key System (without Intelligent Key).
2.Check that the parking lamp is turned ON.
CONSULT ACTIVE TEST
1.Select "EXTERNAL LAMPS" of IPDM E/R active test item.
2.With operating the test items, check that the parking lamp is turned ON.
TAIL: Parking lamp ON
Off: Parking lamp OFF
Is the parking lamp turned ON?
YES- Parking lamp circuit is normal.
NO- .
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK PARKING LAMP FUSE
1.Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.Check that the following fuses are not fusing.
Is the fuse fusing?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- GO TO 3.
2. CHECK PARKING LAMP SHORT CIRCUIT
1.Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and the parking lamp connector.
2.Check continuity between the IPDM E/R harness connector and the ground.
Does continuity exist?
YES- Repair the harnesses or connectors. And then replace the fuse.
NO- Replace the fuse. (Replace IPDM E/R if fusing is found again.)
3. CHECK PARKING LAMP BULB
Check the applicable lamp bulb.
Is the bulb normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Replace the bulb.
4. CHECK PARKING LAMP OUTPUT VOLTAGE
CONSULT ACTIVE TEST
1.Disconnect the parking lamp connector.
2.Turn the ignition switch ON.
3.Select "EXTERNAL LAMPS" of IPDM E/R active test item.
4.With operating the test items, check the voltage between the IPDM E/R harness connector and the ground.
Is the measurement value normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- Replace IPDM E/R.
5. CHECK PARKING LAMP OPEN CIRCUIT
1.Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.
3.Check continuity between the IPDM E/R harness connector and the parking lamp harness connector.
Does continuity exist?
YES- GO TO 6.
NO- Repair the harnesses or connectors.
6. CHECK PARKING LAMP GROUND OPEN CIRCUIT
Check continuity between the parking lamp harness connector and the ground.
Does continuity exist?
YES- Replace the front combination lamp.
NO- Repair the harnesses or connectors.
