UNEXPECTED PEDAL REACTION
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK BRAKE PEDAL STROKE
Check brake pedal stroke. Adjustments.
Is the stroke too large?
YES- - Bleed air from brake tube and hose. Service and Repair.
- Check brake fluid leakage. Removal and Replacement.
- Check brake pedal, brake booster, and master cylinder for mount play, looseness, etc.
- Brake pedal: Adjustments.
- Brake master cylinder: Inspection.
- Brake booster: Inspection And Adjustment.
- Front disc brake: Inspection.
- Rear drum brake: Service and Repair.
NO- GO TO 2.
2. CHECK FUNCTION
1.Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) harness connector to deactivate ABS. Check if braking force is normal in this condition. Connect harness connector after inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Normal
NO- Check brake system.
