BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY : Disassembly


DISASSEMBLY






1.Remove the retaining ring from caliper using a suitable tool as shown. Discard the retaining ring

CAUTION:
Do not reuse retaining ring.





2.Place a wooden block in the caliper as shown, and blow air into the union bolt hole to the remove piston and piston boot.

WARNING:
Do not get fingers caught between the piston and wooden block.





3.Remove the piston seal from the caliper using a suitable tool.
Discard the piston seal.

CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage a cylinder inner wall.
- Do not reuse the piston seal.
