DOOR

FRONT DOOR : Removal and Installation


CAUTION:
- When removing and installing the front door assembly, support the door with a jack and cloth to protect the door and body.
- Check the hinge rotating parts for lubrication. If necessary, apply "body grease".
- Operate with two workers, because of its heavy weight.
- Do not use air tools or electric tools for servicing.
- Before servicing, turn ignition switch OFF, disconnect both battery terminals and wait at least three minutes.

REMOVAL

1.Disconnect the battery negative and positive terminals and wait at least three minutes, if equipped with the side air bag (satellite) sensor.
2.Pull the grommet and wire harness out of the front pillar until the harness connectors are accessible. Then disconnect the wire harness connectors.
3.Remove the check link bolt from the front pillar.





4.Remove the door-side hinge nuts (a) and the door assembly (1).


INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- After installing, perform door adjustment. With Intelligent Key.
- After adjusting, apply touch-up paint (the body color) to the door nuts and bolts.
