Input Speed Sensor (For California)
DTC P1715 INPUT SPEED SENSOR
Description
ECM receives input speed sensor signal from TCM through CAN communication line. ECM uses this signal for engine control.
CONSULT-III Reference Value in Data Monitor Mode
Specification data are reference values.
On Board Diagnosis Logic
NOTE:
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC UXXXX, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC UXXXX.
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0335, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0335. Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California).
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0340 first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0340. Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California).
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0605, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0605. Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California).
- If DTC P1715 is displayed with DTC P0607, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P0607. Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California) Engine Controls (For California).
The MIL will not light up for this self-diagnosis.
DTC Confirmation Procedure
CAUTION:
Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
NOTE:
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
WITH CONSULT-III
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-III.
3. Start engine.
4. Drive vehicle at a speed of more than 50 km/h (31 MPH) for at least 5 seconds.
5. Check 1st trip DTC.
6. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to SEE Diagnosis Procedure.
WITH GST
Follow the procedure "WITH CONSULT-III" above.
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK DTC WITH TCM
Check DTC with TCM. CVT Trouble Diagnosis.
OK or NG
OK - GO TO 2.
NG - Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Testing and Inspection.
2.REPLACE TCM
Replace TCM. Service and Repair.
