SERVICE INFORMATION

The rollout of the CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) has been completed to all Nissan dealers.

^ The C-III plus was designed specifically to support future technology requirements on Nissan vehicles.

^ Development of this new software was assisted by the advice and suggestions provided by technicians attending numerous focus groups during the development phase.

^ Based on Nissan dealership technician input and competitor benchmarking, navigation in C-III plus has been enhanced to support complicated operations and to simplify access to key programming and TPMS service. Large, easy to operate buttons have also been incorporated. All of which make this diagnostic tool faster and easier to use.

^ The C-III plus must be installed on your existing C-III Panasonic Laptop.

NOTE:
> Follow the installation instructions included with the DVD. DO NOT install the CONSULT-Green items as these are for Europe versions.

^ C-III software will continue to operate even after installation of C-III plus.

On June 1, 2011 (approximate date) your C-III plus software will be updated and will have full capability to diagnose and reprogram most 1996 and later model year vehicles.

^ This update will allow C-III plus to fully perform the functions of CONSULT-II (C-II) and CONSULT-III (C-III).

^ Until then you will use C-II, C-III and C-III plus in your dealership. Please ensure your C-II and C-III are in proper working order during the C-III plus coverage expansion period.

^ Please monitor the ASIST main menu banner for announcement of legacy availability.





IMPORTANT NOTES:
^ The C-III security card will continue to be used with C-III plus, however, when the card is installed in the Panasonic Laptop only Immobilizer functions will be available. For standard diagnostic operations the security card must be removed and stored in a safe place.

^ The C-III Vehicle Interface (VI) is not compatible with C-III plus, and the C-III plus VI is not compatible with C-III. Make sure to use the corresponding VI.
