Steering Switch Signal A Circuit




STEERING SWITCH SIGNAL A CIRCUIT

Description

Transmits the steering switch signal to the AV control unit.


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK CONTINUITY OF STEERING SWITCH SIGNAL A CIRCUIT

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect AV control unit and spiral cable connectors.
3.Check for continuity between AV control unit harness connector and spiral cable connector.





4.Check for continuity between AV control unit harness connector and ground.





Is the check result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Repair the harnesses or connectors.

2. SPIRAL CABLE INSPECTION

Check the spiral cable.
Is the check result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Replace the spiral cable.

3. CHECK AV CONTROL UNIT VOLTAGE

1.Connect AV control unit and spiral cable connectors.
2.Turn power switch ON.
3.Check voltage between AV control unit harness connectors.





Is the check result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Replace the AV control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Base Audio And Navigation.

4. CHECK STEERING SWITCH

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Check the steering switch. Refer to "Component Inspection" .
Is the check result normal?
YES- INSPECTION END
NO- Replace the steering switch. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.


Component Inspection

Measure the resistance between the steering switch connecter terminals 14 to 17 and 15 to 17.
