2011 JUKE; INTELLIGENT KEY WARNING LIGHT "ON" WITH DTC B261F

This bulletin has been amended to change BCM part number and to add IMPORTANT information to the begining of this bulletin. Discard previous copies.

APPLIED VEHICLE: 2011 Juke (F15) with 6-speed transmission only

IF YOU CONFIRM

If all of these conditions are met:

^ Vehicle is push-button Intelligent Key (I-Key) equipped

^ Vehicle is 6-speed Manual transmission model

^ Vehicle has DTC B261F stored in the Body Control Module (BCM)

^ Amber (Yellow) I-Key indicator is on

^ Shifting the transmission to Neutral and releasing the clutch resets the warning lamp and allows engine to be turned off

NOTE:
Customer "may" indicate that the ignition switch is not responsive.

ACTION
If the conditions under "IF YOU CONFIRM" are met, replace BCM with the part listed.

IMPORTANT:
BEFORE removing the BCM refer in the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to M: ELECTRICAL & POWER CONTROL, BCS - Body Control System, BCM BASIC INSPECTION to begin the procedure for BCM Replacement.

NOTE:
Refer the customer to the owners manual for the proper method to shut off the vehicle.

^ Move the shift lever to the Neutral position, and push the ignition switch to the off position. This will override the condition stated in this bulletin.
