Removal and Installation of BCM
REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Before replacing BCM, perform "READ CONFIGURATION" to save or print current vehicle specifications. Refer to Testing and Inspection.
1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2. Remove the instrument lower finisher. Refer to Component Parts.
3. Remove the front foot duct (LH). Refer to Service and Repair.
4. Remove the BCM screw (A), disconnect the connectors and remove the BCM (1).

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
- When replacing BCM, perform "WRITE CONFIGURATION". Refer to Testing and Inspection.
- When replacing BCM, perform initialization of NATS system and registration of all NATS ignition key IDs. Refer to Key Switch (Intelligent Key Unit Input) Check.
- When replacing BCM, if new BCM does not come with keyfobs attached, all existing keyfobs must be re-registered. Refer to CONSULT-III operation manual for the initialization procedure.
