Without Consult-II
DESCRIPTION- The purpose of the test is to determine overall performance of A/T and analyze causes of problems.
- The road test consists of the following three parts:
1. Check before engine is started
2. Check at idle
3. Cruise test
- Before road test, familiarize yourself with all test procedures and items to check.
- Conduct tests on all items until specified symptom is found. Troubleshoot items which check out No Good after road test.
1. CHECK BEFORE ENGINE IS STARTED
1: CHECK O/D OFF INDICATOR LAMP
2: CHECK O/D OFF INDICATOR LAMP
2. CHECK AT IDLE
1: CHECK ENGINE START
2: CHECK ENGINE START
3: CHECK VEHICLE MOVE
4: CHECK VEHICLE MOVE
5: CHECK VEHICLE MOVE
6: CHECK SHIFT SHOCK
7: CHECK VEHICLE MOVE
8: CHECK VEHICLE MOVE
3. CRUISE TEST
- Check all items listed in Parts 1 through 3.
- Throttle position sensor can be checked by voltage across terminals 41 and 42 of TCM.

1: CHECK STARTING GEAR (D1) POSITION
2: CHECK SHIFT UP (D1 TO D2)
3: CHECK SHIFT UP (D2 TO D3)
4: CHECK SHIFT UP (D3 TO D4)
5: CHECK LOCK-UP (D4 TO D4 L/U)
6: CHECK HOLD LOCK-UP
7: CHECK SHIFT DOWN (D4 L/U TO D4)
8: CHECK SHIFT DOWN (D4 TO D3)
Cruise Test - Part 2
1: CHECK STARTING GEAR (D1) POSITION
2: CHECK SHIFT UP AND SHIFT DOWN (D3 TO D4 TO D2)
3: CHECK SHIFT UP (D2 TO D3)
4: CHECK SHIFT UP (D3 TO D4) AND ENGINE BRAKE

1: VEHICLE SPEED D4 POSITION
2: CHECK SHIFT DOWN (D4 TO D3)
3: CHECK ENGINE BRAKE
4: CHECK SHIFT DOWN (D3 TO D2)
5: CHECK ENGINE BRAKE
6: CHECK SHIFT DOWN
