Steering Wheel: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION





1. Remove driver air bag module and spiral cable. Refer to Restraint Systems.
2. Disconnect harness connector and remove steering wheel nut.





3. Remove steering wheel with Tool.
- For installation, refer to Restraint Systems.

CAUTION: The spiral cable may snap due to steering operation if the cable is installed improperly. Also, with the steering linkage disconnected, the cable may snap by turning the steering wheel more than 2.5 turns to the left or right of the neutral position.
