EGR Backpressure Transducer: Testing and Inspection

EGRC-BPT valve




P0400 EGR FUNCTION
1. Plug one of two ports of EGRC-BPT valve.
2. Vacuum from the other port and check for leakage while applying a pressure above 0.981 kPa (100 mm H(2)O, 3.94 in H(2)O) from under EGRC-BPT valve.
3. If a leakage is noted, replace the valve.




P0402 EGR FUNCTION
1. Plug one of two ports of EGRC-BPT valve.
2. Vacuum from the other port and check leakage without applying any pressure from under EGR-BPT valve.
Leakage should exist.
