Fuel Pressure Gauge Connection For 2000-2001 Maxima

1. Release the fuel pressure from the fuel system. Refer to the "Fuel Pressure Release Procedure".





2. Temporarily disconnect three hoses as shown in Figure 5.





3. Install the Inline Fuel Quick Disconnect fitting between the fuel damper and the fuel tube (see Figure 6).

CAUTION:
Do not over tighten the bolts when installing the Inline Fuel Quick Disconnect fitting.

NOTE:
Apply Canopus 13 oil (P/N 999MP-AJ000) to the 0-ring on the Quick Disconnect fitting and the fuel damper before installation (see Figure 6).

4. Connect the fuel pressure test gauge (Quick Connect adapter hose) to the quick disconnect fitting (see Figure 6).

5. Perform the fuel pressure test.

6. Release the fuel pressure from the fuel system. Refer to the "Fuel Pressure Release Procedure".

7. Remove the Quick Disconnect fitting.

8. Again, apply Canopus 13 oil to the fuel damper 0-ring.

9. Re-install the fuel damper to the fuel tube.

10. Re-connect the three hoses as shown in Figure 5.

11. Operate the fuel system and confirm there are NO fuel leaks.
