How to erase DTC (No Tools)

Changing the diagnostic test mode from Diagnostic Test Mode II to Mode I by turning the mode selector on the ECM

Note: If the diagnostic trouble code is not for A/T related items , skip step 2.

1. If the ignition switch stays "ON" after repair work, be sure to turn ignition switch "OFF" once. Wait at least 10 seconds and then turn it "ON" again.
2. Perform "SELF-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (Without CONSULT)" titled "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS", "Self-diagnosis". (The engine warm-up step can be skipped when performing the diagnosis only to erase the DTC.)
3. Change the diagnostic lest mode from Mode II to Mode I by turning the mode selector on the ECM.
